Senor Moose "As good as it gets!" July 23, 2007 - I agree wholeheartedly agree with the rave reviews that preceeded this - although that wonderful breakfast dish is chilliquilles, not chilliquitos ;) . I grew up in southern California where there's lots of great Mexican food; have traveled a lot and had it in lots of places, including great places in Santa Fe; but this is the best. I even thought about it when I was down in Mexico awhile back - because the food I had there didn't even compare well to Cafe Moose. And the coffee! - ohmygosh, the coffee! As good as coffee gets. I've told friends that this place is one of the main things I'll miss about the Seattle area when I move. I guess I should add that it isn't the kind of commonly found Mexican/American food you mightt expect, though - it's simple and authentic, but it's not trying to be like something you'd find in a big chain. |
