Columbia City Bakery
"Love the fruit danishes"
November 07, 2007 - This bakery does an excellent job with its pastries.  Flaky, with just the right amount of sweetness.  Lovely Cappucinos too.

Kallaloo
"Tasty and unpretentious"
November 07, 2007 - Recently ate at Kallaloo in Columbia City, twice.  Food here is very tasty, reminds me of home in the islands.  Very unpretentious - you'll not find anything "touristy" on the menu.  No fruit salsas on the fish - that's just not done in the caribbean except for the tourists.  The curried crab and dumplings dish is amazing, and this restaurant has the best fried plantains in Seattle.  I need to go back for that bread pudding!  Lovely atmosphere.  My friend said that he felt he had just taken a one hour tropical vacation!

Assimba Ethiopian Cuisine
"Best Ethiopian restaurant in Seattle!"
November 07, 2007 - Assimba is undoubtedly the best in the city.  The food is consistently great, is inexpensive and the atmosphere, while simple, is clean and friendly for families.

La Casa Del Mojito
"Loved It!"
November 07, 2007 - I recently ate at the new Casa Del Mojito on University Ave and just loved it.  Good value for the money.  Excellent flavors and the garliciky sauce on the yucca frita was amazing.  Just as good or better than the Maple Leaf sister restaurant.
