Six Seven
"Amazing atmosphere, great food, and service, perfect package"
March 28, 2007 - I went to this place for their 25 for 25 special, and had a great experience. When you walk in to this place you notice the fire place and woodsy, log cabin feel. It is very peaceful. We sat at the window, so we got to look at the view, even though it was kinda dreary out, it was nice. The service was  very good, and the food was great. I will definitely be back there.

"Great happy hour"
March 28, 2007 - I have only been here for happy hour and it was great! this is obviously not a secret because we had to wait a bit before we were seated. Once we were seated we were informed that if we ordered at least one drink we could get any of the food from the bar for half off, yum! The hummus was so so good, as was the goat cheese pizza, and everything else that we got. I will definitely go back, and can't wait to go when it's not happy hour.

Market Street Grill
"ICK!"
March 26, 2007 - I disliked this place a lot. I went here with my boyfriend for valentine's day, and I was expecting it to be really great, but was very dissapointed. I do not eat pork, and every dish had some type of pork side or entree. I ended up going with the scallops, but having been sick from scallops before, they made me queazy and I could not finish them. The dessert, I was not impressed with either. The only thing that did impress me was our amazing waiter.

Etta's Seafood
"I love ettas!"
March 21, 2007 - I went to ettas the other night and it was excellent. First of all the waiter was extremely friendly and helpful. He pointed out the 25 for 25 dollars special that they currently had going and said "best deal in the city". I would agree. I thought that it was good that he was pushing it even though we could have ordered more expensive items and brought up the bill. Next, the food. The food was extremely good. We split the calamari and the apple appetizer. The calamari, was the best calamari that I have ever had, mainly because of the heavenly dip that comes with it. So so so good. The entree that we ordered was also excellent as was the coconut creme pie I got at the end. All in all it was an extremely good eating experience, and I see myself visiting in the future.

"good service bad food"
March 21, 2007 - I went here with my boyfriend to try the 25 for 25, and I was not impressed with their selections. Of the selections, I chose the vegitarian option because the others sounded disgusting. My food was alright, it was a risotto, something I could have easily cooked at home, and not worthy of the 25 for 25 promotion. The dessert was alright, and everything else was just okay. I was not impressed. I actually was tempted to leave after seeing the selections. The only saving grace was our waiter. He was excellent, very attentive.

Wild Ginger
"love the wine!"
March 21, 2007 - I tried the 25 for 25 menu at wild ginger. I had read reviews saying that they treat you like peasants if you order from the 25 for 25 menu, but I did not have this experience. Our waiter was very attentive. I wanted to have a good wine with my meal, and after telling our waiter what type of wine I like he suggested a wine that I loved! I would come back just for that wine! :) The food was pretty good, the portions were fairly small, but we were pretty full at the end. They had this amazing asparagus dish, that I definitely recommend trying. The ambience is very cool, I love the asian motif, and how the chairs make you feel as though you are sitting in some hot asian country with large over head fans, and just relaxing. I also want to say once more how great the wine was! :)

Ray's Boathouse
"Ray's a beautiful birthday experience -25 for 25"
March 20, 2007 - I just went to ray's yesterday for my birthday dinner.  I was pretty nervous because a lot of the restaurants I have been to lately have been quite dissapointing. Ray's, was definitely not dissapointing.  The first thing that I loved about this place, was the view. My  boyfriend had asked for a table at the window, and wow, that view was just breathtaking. You are looking right out at the sound, and it's almost like being in a movie on your own private island, I could not look away.  Then, there was the service. Our waitress, Erica, was fabulous!! She was so so helpful, and friendly.  The food was so good, we ordered oysters, which were so yummy and beautifully presented. The wine was okay, and the rest of the food was amazing. We talked to the manager for a long time at the end of the meal and told her how much we had enjoyed our night. Also, we did not go there with the intention of doing 25 for 25, but the selection for the 25 for 25 was amazing, and we ended up sticking with that, except for the oysters. They had almost all of their main dishes as selections. I was very impressed, and I would definitely celebrate there again!!
