Judy Fu's Snappy Dragon "Wow. Bad." March 03, 2008 - After a couple years of Seven Star Pepper patronage, Snappy Dragon is clearly Bad. The dumplings had thick pasty wraps, the shrimp had a fishy odor, the hand shaven noodles had a funny aftertaste (more like they had been stored with a smelly food or something than the noodle itself), the smoked tea duck was way too salty and came with doughy, tough, uncut little buns. Sigh. Seriously-- What are people thinking? 4 people like this review - Recommend |

Café Presse "Don't tell too many people..." September 19, 2007 - Because it's become a weekly thing now and I'd hate to have to wait for a table. Perfectly inexpensive, terribly tasty, yummy, classy, well done food. Copies of Le Monde is a bonus. I've had everything on the menu (I think) and unlike most places, there is no one dish I keep ordering to the exclusion of others. They're all great. 4 people like this review - Recommend |

Pam's Kitchen "Seattle-Where even mediocre roti is great..." June 18, 2007 - I love roti. Warm, dalpourie, goat meat, messy goodness. So although Pam's Kitchen has only "good enough" roti, it's still great. A paradox I know. 4 people like this review - Recommend |

June 05, 2007 - 1 veg combo1 lamb tibs2 gin and tonicsone extra glass of tonic(the drinks are that strong). We go here at least a few times a month and leave with full bellies and only barely lighter pocketbooks. (What the hell is a pocketbook?) 1 person likes this review - Recommend |

Malay Satay Hut "Used to be great value..." June 05, 2007 - ...now it's good food for a fair price. |

Tougo Coffee Co. "Tougo Coffee Co." June 05, 2007 - Where everybody knows your name. By the second time you're in Brian knows you and your drink. By the third he has introduced you to half the people there. Also there is a wicked cute little monkey who appears to be the coffee shop mascot. Her name is Ryan Marie. Say hello and ask for her card. |

Barking Frog "Tea" June 04, 2007 - Should be served in a pot. Or even a cup. At the very least- at the table. Having to stand by the kettle and wait for it to boil and then pour the not quite boiled hot water into a paper cup over what is actually a very good tea, makes a sad, sad cuppa.I was there for an included breakfast when I stayed at Willows Lodge. It was a prime opportunity for the restaurant, that I had actually been looking forward to trying, to impress me (and it was free! so the bar was low people) and get me to come back for dinner some time. Sad, sad cup of tea. 1 person likes this review - Recommend |

Cafe Juanita "Get your passport..." June 04, 2007 - It's worth the trip to the Eastside. |

Vios Cafe & Marketplace "Because Community is Important...." June 04, 2007 - ...Thomas opened Vios. The place is beautiful, the food is tasty and well proportioned, although pricey. Totally worth it. It's rare that a restaurant has both good food and a place for toddlers to play. With a small door. So you can trap 'em. 2 people like this review - Recommend |

New Deano's "CLOSED" June 03, 2007 - for good I understand... |

Firehouse Coffee "Must be a parent thing..." June 03, 2007 - I apparently am willing to vote "I like" to any place that has a room that will entertain my daughter for 30 minutes while I have a cup of coffee. Even if that coffee is merely adequate, the banana bread tasteless, and the cookie prepackaged. But the people were nice and I like the fact that there is a close-able door to the playroom. So you childless people can enjoy your afternoon in peace. Damn you and your precious quiet. 1 person likes this review - Recommend |

Hot Dish "Comfort food" June 03, 2007 - For when you're wishing for the meatloaf that mom never made... |
|
Dahlia Bakery "Coconut Cream Pie" June 03, 2007 - I love that this comes in a glass pie plate. Except for the fact that it is so perfectly made, it could almost pass as coming from my kitchen. 1 person likes this review - Recommend |

Cupcake Royale (Inside Vérité Coffee) "Great for killing an afternoon with the kids..." June 03, 2007 - Madrona Play Park is right next door, there are always dogs to look at sitting outside, coffee is great and the tiny babycake doesn't quite send my one and a half year old to the moon and back on a sugar high. Almost though. Oh: great, very adult grilled 3 cheese sandwich. 1 person likes this review - Recommend |

Central Cinema "Stick with the popcorn..." June 03, 2007 - And really enjoy the movie with a bottle of wine or a glass of beer. |
|
Cafe Nordstrom "Civilized moment during a busy day of shopping..." June 03, 2007 - Sit in a booth mid-afternoon and you'll have the place to yourself. A cup of tea served in a pot with a little pitcher of milk and an actual teacup. Breathe. A well spent $2. Plus you get a little chocolate with the cheque. |

Buca di Beppo (Seattle) "Chuck E Cheese for grown ups?" June 03, 2007 - or maybe those creatures living between childhood and adulthood... 2 people like this review - Recommend |

Ben & Jerry's "Quick treat...." June 03, 2007 - There is a yellow lined parking spot right across from B&J's at the UVillage. More often than is good for me, I've stopped, parked there in the evening, and eaten a cone outside while watching my car so that is doesn't get towed. Adds a little adventure to a simple ice cream. |
|
Bauhaus Books & Coffee "Memories of being child-free..." June 03, 2007 - Sit outside, drink a slow cup of coffee, enjoy the sun over the city, ignore the smokers. |
|
Baguette Box "Good food, good value." June 03, 2007 - What I order:Daily soup.Beet salad.A glass of wine. And if I have a friend with me we share an oder of truffle fries. How civilized. |
|
Arosa Cafe "Chocolate" June 03, 2007 - The chocolate they use for their mochas here is what makes them SO tasty. The simple fare is good. Snack waffles (European style), grilled sandwiches , Lindt chocolate truffles. No credit cards. 1 person likes this review - Recommend |

Chiang's Gourmet "My mistake..." June 03, 2007 - I saw this tagged as Dim Sum and headed up there imagining the clanging of carts, steamy Har Cheung Fun, and a quick fix of sticky rice with pork and mushrooms wrapped in lotus leaves. I somehow forgot that dim sum is of Cantonese origin and the dim sum I was pining for was Hong Kong style. How could I be anything but disappointed in Chiang's "order off the dim sum menu" offerings? That being said: Onion pancakes...YUM. Hot wanton in chili oil YUM. Actually, my mouth is watering again already for those pancakes.... |

Tamarind Tree "Great atmosphere and a nice evening..." June 02, 2007 - The overall experience was a definite plus, although the food was not any better than many hole-in-the-wall Vietnamese. I recommend going and enjoying a tasty tamarind martini, some upscale Bún chả giò, and good craic at least once. Then move on and enjoy Pho Bac II all the more. |

Dixie's BBQ "Wish I liked it..." May 30, 2007 - I know that some people think that being yelled at is part of the experience, but I like my food with a warmer welcome. 1 person likes this review - Recommend |

Mr Greek "I know it's a chain..." August 23, 2007 - and the souvlaki is medium but do I love this place...What I get: small pork souvlaki dinner with a side of roast potatoes and rice. So just to recap for you Atkins people- that's fries, garlic bread, rice and potatoes. Along with the salad and meat and tatziki. |
