Columbia City Ale House
"Good Pub Fare"
March 17, 2008 - Good pub food and great neighborhood ambiance with surprisingly good desserts. It tends to get a bit crowded on weekends, causing the wait staff to be overworked and the service to slow. The only thing lacking is a deep fryer, which means there are no French fries or other fried pub standards like onion rings, poppers, etc. Instead, entrees and sandwiches come with either potato chips or potato salad.

Than Brothers Restaurant (Broadway)
"OK Pho"
March 17, 2008 - The pho is inexpensive but mediocre. The real treat here are the cream puffs which are not to be missed.

March 17, 2008 - It's hard to mess up breakfast, but somehow this place manages to do so consistently.

Mashiko
"Worth the Wait"
March 16, 2008 - Mashiko is a bit small and crowded, and there is almost always a considerable wait for a table. It's worth it though, particularly for the inventive sushi rolls and extensive menu.

Mirch Masala
"It's All Good"
March 16, 2008 - It's hard to go wrong at this Broadway gem: just about anything from the menu will be delicious. My favorites, though, are the Kashmiri Chicken and Aloo Channa, both of which redefine the word savory. Prompt and courteous service only add to the experience.
